Thoughts on Matt Edgar's Blog

Matt Edgar has written a blog, all about the change of things, and the pace of this change. What I find really amazing in this post, is that he makes you realize how fast everything is actually happening. I find it really cool to see how the speed of change has increased, and am particularly amazed by the following statistics.
  1. It took the radio 40 years to reach a market penetration of 50 million
  2. 10 years for the TV
  3. 5 years for the iPod
  4. 6 months for YouTube
  5. Google+ might be even faster

But also despite all of this fast and good change, we still find that the past, was good at certain things. Matt Edgar uses the example, that the 18th century postal service ran twice daily mail services between major cities, and that that is sometimes more often than he checks his emails.
